Mercy Ministry

We receOur Mercy ministry works in poor communities. We provide food and clothes for the people but also have bible study, prayer meetings, teachings, prayer principles, home visits & childrens ministries. We visit the clinics and hospitals to pray for the sick and share the love of God. We also help fix their homes.

We run a sewing worshop 5 days a week from 8 in the mornings until 5 in the afternoons for women from poor communities. They come to YWAM Bethlehem and learn how to sew and have an income for their homes and children. Mostly women without husbands. We then receive contracts from hotels or schools and people in the community. The ladies then make clothes, curtains, bedding, wedding gowns and upholstry. This helps them with a monthly salary. It is mostly to teach women to have a way of income for themselves. A friend of the base is responsible for this ministry. Marietjie sacrificed her own “Bridal Parlour” to come and serve God full time with us. We also take time with Marietjie to disciple the women.
